| hrm hrm. my, its been awhile. i mean i logged off to go to sleep and
all of a sudden its been like a month! well, in the past month, ive
finished up the swim season with an incredible tenth in the meet of
champions. for those of you who dont know/really dont care (i know
you're out there) the meet is a really big one which requires all sorts
of good stuff like qualifying times and good placement at the
divisionals meet. anyhoo, i managed a tenth in backstroke. which was a
really awesome thing. and then there was alf and evan, but more on them
later. which means whenever i next post because... i have to go to work
now. so sayanora and ill get back to y'alls.

| first swim meet yesterday, and the results are in! i managed to bring
in a very close third (second next time, Joe) in the 100 individual
medley (im). thats a 25 of each stroke, only half of what we do in the
winter. i should be kicking arse, but im not- that needs to change.
fortunately, the meet was against verona, a friendly township with the
only people in the friggin' league who are taller than me! i find it
particularily annoying. anyways, i managed to get second out of three
in the 50 breaststroke, again, half of what we do over the winter, so
the results were applaudable. i also beat someone on another team, a
major accomplishment for me. and finally, in my last heat of the day
(the 200 free relay (that's where four people (in this case, me, my
bro, christina t, and kelly f) all swim 50 freestyle)) we managed to
pull away with a first place. it went kind like this: kelly started,
giving us a bit of a lead over the guy who went for their team.
christina leaps in, and loses a bit to the lifeguard off the stand
they've requisitioned. my brother goes, a full year younger than the
minimum age for the event (13+ free relay), but thats ok because you
can always age up. its when you have 13 year olds on 8 year old races
thats a problem. so when tom went in, he was a second or so back from
this other tall guy, their third racer as well. fortunately, my brother
caught up to him when he stopped at the wall for breath and a long
touch-turn. but alas, my brother didnt get there in time and the verona
kid reached the wall about three seconds before tom did. so when i
jumped in to finish off the competition, i was back a considerable
amount against an experienced swimmer who i know for a fact had beaten
me in some event the year hence. once in the water, i proceeded to tear
down the lane in such a fashion that i was even with her by the time we
had half a lap left. the rest was easy- keep going and claim the
ribbon- and the seven points for first place. we lost the meet, but i
gained a sense of self-confidence and the team is looking better than
ever. we are set for a very strong season.

| since my last post, many strange and unusual occurences i have come
across (?). ive lifeguarded at the town pool, mananging to spend 15
minutes of my precious break cleaning out the radioactive kiddie pool
and subsequently disinfecting the bucket and yada yada whoo. but the
kids dad got us pizza and i got first dibs. so it all evened out in the
end, kinda. and then today, i spent 13 and a half hours working! that's
insane, even by my standards.
movies not to watch if you suffer from epilepsy: 'yellow submarine' by the Beatles
i got my schedule for next year. returning teachers include mr. kaye,
now starring in a full blown math class- calculus! and that's it. new
schedules can only mean one thing- summer time! the school year is
offically over and ive already got a bunch of summer activities lined
up. like emailing friends who are leaving, staying and arriving.
ill be back next time- Joe M.

| took the sat ii bio exam today. it felt good, and was suprisingly easy-
or am i not realizing that i misbubbled? that would suck. and mybe
there'll be a scoring error in my favor. then again, maybe not. stupid
standardized tests. you cant challenge 'em and they dont teach 'em to
you. and they expect you to take them all the same. what can one do? i
might post again later. until then, the world is safe.

| well, someone thinks a friend of mine is downright bonkers and decided
to report him to guidance. whoever that is however, has crossed the
wrong line. yeah, that's right. whoever it is (and i know it's one of
us, because im pretty to positively sure that mrs. hildebrandt does NOT
read our away messages) may no know it, but that's now two friends i
have or have had on a psycho-suicidal-insane-quackers-loony list.
yeah, two. and i know i dont hang out with dark goth druggie slasher
stereotypes (with some minor exceptions). in any event, i detest this
attack on my friend. as if the poor fellow doesnt already have enough
to worry about with finals coming up in a month or so. so i've prepared
a little rant in honor of his persecution (and because i felt like
emulating one of the guys from 'Spartacus').
the world is going to end blah blah blah i hate myself and my life and
all the people around me im going to kill everyone, but noone in
particular and moo this life isnt good enough and blah blah blah. hey
why doesnt someone report this to guidance? huh? i dare you c'mon, you
know you want to. and why don't you write in about everyone else who
appears at all anxious about anything! why dont you find every other
unstable teenager in the country as well, huh? why bob!? crazy only has
a definition if you have normal documented first. and unless you have
proof of what normal is and how anyone even comes close to attaining
all of those criterion, then i invite that person to tell me, because i
know for sure that nobody meets anything near those marks, despite how
we may try.
so there- now you have it. i must be clinically insane in the same way
some people are morbidly obese. why don't you report me to guidance,
huh?
